El Diablo Está En Todas Partes
"Hypocrite. Opportunist. Don't infect me with your poison." Radiohead. A Punch Up At A Wedding
The longer that I am away from my home base of Texas and the comforts and safety of my family, the more I am realizing that temptation is everywhere. To leave your home base, your safe place, opens up a whole new world of opportunity and discovery.
With all this new discovery going on, you are bound to run into a few temptations along your path. Whether or not you indulge in said temptations is a trial of self-control. Do you shake things up? Let the devil in a little?
Ahhh....El Diablo Está En Todas Partes. And that is what ultimately makes life worth living - not the devil, but the good with the bad. The taste of something forbidden and the discovery of how far you are willing to push yourself to shake things up, look at things differently, and be able to handle emotionally whatever this life may throw your way..
Sure, you can invite the devil in. But, if you decide to let the devil in, how long do you let him stay? When does he start smashing your grandmother's china?
I suppose that is just part of the journey.
